Oh, Just Some Pictures of Prague – Part 7

And here they are, the last of the pictures from the trip to Prague.  In my totally humble and completely unbiased opinion, these are some of the best pictures of the bunch…  The light was perfect as the sun was setting on an awesome and tiring day of hiking through the city.  One hell of an experience.  If you’re ever in the neighborhood you should try to stop by…  Although now that I think about, I doubt anyone would ever be in the neighborhood of Prague without the direct intention of going to Prague, but you get the idea…

As you might have seen, last weekend I got a chance to take one of my little abbreviated let’s-go-see-some-random-city-in-Europe trips.  Glendo and I kidnapped our favorite German bartender and headed 3 hours east to Prague.  It is, from my brief-at-best impressions, an amazing city, and we could’ve spent days there without truly seeing what the city has to offer.  However, it was a blast, and we couldn’t have asked for a prettier day.

Anywho, here’s some pictures of what we saw.  As always, I’d love to tell you about what you’re seeing, but, I’ve got nothing to tell you.  You probably know the drill by now.  1 day off out of 13.  In a part of the world I know nothing about, visiting a city I know nothing about, short of the fact that I should go there.  So we went there.  No planning, no research.  3 hour drive.  6 hour walk.  3 hour drive.  Trip over.  Word.

Some random little festival thing upon which we stumbled...

Pretty backdrop too.

I'm not entirely sure what that statue is doing to Glendo, but it seems like he likes it...

Hey, I like beer.

Well, I suppose all good things must come to end, much like our trip to Prague, and the recap of that trip…  From here it was back to burning trash and power plants.  But, when all that was said and done, I did get to spend two days and two nights in the City of Lights… Paris is coming soon to a blog near you.

Na zdravi.

So unless I'm mistaken, they either want me to clean up my dog's piss, or that dog has some serious digestive issues. And why is it covering it's own eyes?

I dunno what this thing is, there was a gate keeping us out... Damn shame, looks pretty cool. Not to mention a pretty good place to do some stairs.

Who knew that little kids were cute in foreign countries too?

And now some pictures of the Johnson Bridge from some other, substantially less famous bridge...

Getting darker... About time to call it a day...

The day-trip is winding down…  Come back tomorrow and check out the end of our little Czech adventure.

Well, this thing is pretty, whatever the hell it is...

The Italian embassy.

Climbing a long way up towards Prague Castle

The view from the top is sort of pretty, I guess...

Lotta, enjoying the view.

Ok, I'm done now.

On the way back down... Kinda like the shadow.

Last one for today... Headed back down towards the river.

That’s all for now…  The penultimate batch of photos coming soon…  Easter dinner in Germany, which I can only assume is made up of lots of stuff that ends in ‘wurst,’ awaits…

Happy Easter,
