Just Another Night in Nuremberg

On this past Saturday, Glendo and I found ourselves with an evening to ourselves with a rare day off to follow.  We decided to take advantage of the few hours of tourist-time we were so graciously afforded by heading to Nuremberg to meet up with one of our German friends from travels past.

It was my second time visiting the city, but for whatever reason, it was prettier this time.  Perhaps it was the fact that it was a warm spring night, or the fact that I wasn’t operating on five or six hours of Ambien-induced airplane sleep.  Whatever the reason, I enjoyed it much more this time around.  We only spent an hour or two strolling through the old castle walls of the city center, but, it was an awfully photogenic little place, and for a photo-nerd like myself, it was a fantastic place to exercise my shutter finger…

The train station.

Who's up for some Frogger?

One of the many turrets that dot the city.

You would think that by now I'd know better than to leave my tripod in the car. But, I don't. We're a little crooked because the camera was just sitting on the handrail of the bridge, but I still like it...

Without a tripod a dude's gotta improvise. Set the camera down in the middle of the street. Kinda like the results though....

In case you forgot where we were...

And finally, the window of some random store. I don't think this could be any more German if it tried.

Welp, that’s all for this little visit to Nuremberg.  Pictures from a day-trip to Prague coming soon to a blog near you.  Once again, it’s beer-time and bed-time…

    Hey B.

Since i started to look your blog, see older posts and the new ones your pictures get more and more quality. It´s great to see, really amazing!
For six years i no longer live in Bergheim. Now i live for a year in my little forest district in the Eifel. Not really far away from Bergheim, just around 60-70 km, that must be around 40 miles. It´s very close to the border between Germnay,Luxembourg and Belgium.
Tell me when your in Bergheim and if there is time i´ll be there.
And maybe next time i´ll show you some landscape-places and more sleepy little towns at the National Park Eifel.
    Best greetings.
