Carnival In Koln – In 3.5 Minutes

Well, here it is.  I’ve been talking a lot about the Cologne Carnival parade that Glendo and I had the good fortune of taking in during our recent stint in Germany.  The poorly-written website I just linked to describes it as one of the “most celebrated street parties of all times. This colourful celebration attracts over a million visitors into the city from all over the world.”

It was an amazing spectacle.  I’ve been to Cologne a few times, and it’s an absolutely amazing city.  It lies right on the Rhine River, and the Kolner Dom provides the city a backdrop that is nothing short of breathtaking.  Add to that better than 1,000,000 piss-drunk, costume-donning revelers and you get one hell of an experience.

I took just short of 700 photos, and spent more time than I probably should have putting this little video together.  Enjoy.

Hope you liked it.  I’ll be posting my favorite photos from the day before long…
