Alright… Been a couple months, let’s see if I remember how to do this.
But Brett, you’re living in Europe, why haven’t you been posting? A perfectly reasonable question. Unfortunately, I’ve been more working in Europe than living here. As I write this I’m sitting in the Hotel Split in Kadan, Czech Republic, my home for the time being while I install a laser-measurey-thingy in the power plant in the nearby intersection of a town, Tusimice.
The good news is that I’ve still found some time here and there to do the travelling and picture-taking. I’ve poked around London and Prague and a few other less dramatic places. And, with a little luck, this job won’t be as strenuous as most, and I’m hoping to find the time to share some of that crap with you, my dear reader.
For starters, Colorado. My home, or the closest thing I’ve got anyway. A while back I got a 10-day reprieve from Europe, more to reset the 90 consecutive days I’m legally allowed to spend in Europe than anything else. But, while I was back I got a chance to mess around Denver and the mountains a little bit. You might have seen the little movie I put together from my strolls around Denver (and if you haven’t, you should check out the post before this one), and now it’s time for some pictures.
So without further ado, here’s a selection of mediocre cell phone pictures of, you guessed it, The Mile High City and the Rocky Mountains….

For starters, the view from my old man’s place in Livermore, Colorado. Tucked away at the base of the Rockies in Northern, CO…

Alright, enough of the city, headed back to my dad’s. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere on highway 287.

Climbing up the hills. Turns out there’s a good reason that RV pulled over, I damn near got stuck not 500 feet later…

The next morning the sun came out. Blue skies, sunshine and snow. Don’t tell anyone winter in Colorado is this pretty.
Come back soon for a closer look and downtown Denver, CO.
Don’t be a stranger.
