What a week. What an amazing week.
So I finished with the burning trash heap job last Tuesday, and spent a few days hanging out with my favorite German bartender, Lotta. After a couple of quiet nights in quiet Bergheim, Germany we embarked on yet another impromptu and poorly-planned European road trip.
Turns out Paris is but a few hour drive from Bergheim, and turns out Lotta, despite that fact, had never been there. So we packed up the little rental car and headed out for two amazing Parisian days and nights. The first night I left the camera in the room. Tough, but I sometimes forget to stop taking pictures of shit so I can actually take the time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city, and my company, first hand.
With an amazing trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower under our belts (I got to be a tourist, that’s pretty sweet), the second day was a different story. We headed out just after lunch time, and walked the streets of Paris for damn near 12 hours.
Turns out, Lotta is also a bit of a French history nerd. That, coupled with the fact that she’s incredibly adept at navigating large European cities (at least a lot more adept than this small-town Colorado boy) made the experience that much better. We weaved our way through the city and saw every sight that it’s possible to see in a day… Some once-in-a-lifetime shit right there.
20 miles and about 1800 pictures later, I made this. I hope you enjoy it, and I just bet that your feet won’t even get sore…
Thanks for watching.
